Guided Walks Wilsons Promontory & Penguins Phillip Island , Day Tour Nature Based
Wilson’s Promontory provides some of the most accessible and spectacular coastal scenery in Australia and boasts abundant wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, wombats and an array of beautiful (and sometimes friendly) bird life. Enjoy the range of easy/medium grade walks through this wonderland of coastal wilderness.
Short Walks:
Mt Bishop Track 3.7km, 1 hour. Moderate. The track climbs gently through stringybark forest and cool moist fern gullies, and then moderately to Mt Bishop's rock summit. Breathtaking views over Tidal River and the coast will reward your effort.
Whilst discovering the wonders of the beautiful National Park we will find time for a relaxing, BBQ /gourmet picnic lunch.
In afternoon is when the wildlife starts to come to life, and on our way out of the National Park we will have the opportunity to view kangaroos and emus grazing in the wild and with some luck we may see wombats feeding by the road.
At 4.00 pm is when we will make our journey out of The Prom and head to Phillip Island for the Penguin Parade so you can sit back, relax and enjoy the view or as we drive out of the National Park
At dusk Phillip Island’s population of Little Penguins emerge from the sea and stroll across the sand past you before entering their nests. The Penguin Parade is Australia’s number one wildlife tourist destination and is highlight of any visit to the area.
The Perfect Tour to get the best out of Australian Wilderness if you're on a tight time schedule.
